GARY’S “GAMEDAY PICKS CLUB” RECAP: WEEK 7 NFL/WEEK 8 CFB

GARY GREENE’S “GAMEDAY PICKS CLUB” RECAP FOR WEEK 7 NFL/WEEK 8 CFB

Well sadly we had another (1-3-1) College Football Saturday but the small saving grace was the “Best Bet” pick (Cinci over SMU) won easily. We had chances with Marshall and Rice but no luck for either cost us on Saturday. Sunday thankfully was almost a sweep of the 5 picks as only the Total: Detroit/Atlanta-OVER fell short. It’s worse to lose when both QB’s pass for 350 yards each, which is what I was figuring on…but I learned one thing early in that game…new Atlanta HC was calling the plays to keep his Defense from giving up 40 points again. He was running on first and second down…even started game with 6 of 7 run places….avoiding his real weapons of his 3 stud WR’s and solid TE. Our other “Best Bet” for the weekend won with ease as Tampa/Vegas-OVER was pretty easy so a (4-1) Sunday helped the cause and we picked up (2.6) Units for the weekend. We will take it and hoping for better CFB showing this week. It’s been a good CFB season overall but now up and down past 3 weeks. I must do better and the bigger cards with more Conferences in action will make for more to select from. I learned a ton from week 1 of Big Ten play so happy to see that Conference going again. Our 2 Unit “Best Bets” are now (4-0) and (5-1) overall with 1 1/2 Unit “Best Bet”.  We have always excelled with our “Best Bets” over the years and fully expect to keep hitting those picks at a very high clip.
