GARY'S EXTRA POINTS COLUMN - SEPT. 5TH, 2008

Hi Bluebooksports.com Readers,
Welcome back to all my web site readers for another FB season here
in 2008. I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are as excited as I am
for the new upcoming season. As you can see we've made some changes to the
web site and gave it some new looks. Hopefully you all enjoy the changes
and I will be doing a new Extra Points Column each week on Thursday nights.
Ok well the email I've been asked the most this summer is "When do the radio
shows start again?" Well my first Radio Show for the new season is Friday night
September 5th as we move over to KLAV-1230AM RADIO for a 2 hour show 8pm-10pm.
I decided to go back to the Friday Night version I did for many years to give
me more time to get information together for a full weekend card Preview. I am
looking to add a few morning shows in a few weeks when I get settled in with
the crazy wave that hits me in the first week or two of the new season. Plus
we had to make a lot of new programs this year for many of our Free Stats so
I wanted to get that stuff all done first before getting full steam with daytime
Radio Shows.
I am excited to say this year's Friday Night shows will be done LIVE from the
beautiful Race and Sportsbook at the Planet Hollywood Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
We will be giving away a ton of great prizes at the end of each show and we will
also have a few great Promo's offered from the Planet Hollywood Sportsbook. I can
assure you nobody in town will have a show like this, nor will anyone match the
Free Prizes we will give away each week.
**(Note: our first LIVE show won't be until next Friday Sept. 12th).
I will say I wasn't sure one way or the other about coming back for my 20th season
on the Radio here in Vegas.....as the past few years I have really started to enjoy
my 5 months of summer vacation off. But when my part time Web site Tech lost his
job due to a layoff, the decision to do another year was pretty easy. Getting the
deal to the show at the gorgeous new Planet Hollywood Sportsbook made the final
call much easier as well. I expect it will be a fun time doing the 2 hr version
every Friday night and with most of the other sports shows in town falling by
the wayside the past few years, hopefully we can bring some great previews again
like I have for 19 years. I will be adding some nice guest Handicappers and we'll
also get a nice weekly report from the other side of the counter from SB Director
Brad Bryant at the Planet Hollywood Casino.
Although last season was another fantastic free picks season for the radio shows
and web site (12-5 on web site free picks and 17-8 on radio shows) .... my CFB season
thanks to a tremendous Bowl Season where we nearly swept the entire 2007 Bowl Card
was still not at my normal standards of +40 or more at seasons end. We did have
our Best NFL Season in over a decade....but I hang my hat on being one of the TOP
CFB Handicappers out there and so I am expecting a HUGE 2008 CFB season and
hopefully we can keep winning nicely in the NFL again as well.
Last week our 2008 CFB Season started off exactly where we finished in the 2007 Bowl
Season with a tremendous winning streak. We've always seemed to start off very Hot
in CFB and we did again almost running the table for WEEK 1. It's nice to get off
to a fast start, especially when I feel more comfortable after a week or two of
seeing teams play. We have been a notorious slow starter in the NFL going 0-6
to start two years ago and then 1-5 last year in WEEKS 1 and 2. Luckily we
caught fire in Week 3 last year and finished with an "A" grading overall. I hope
to get out the gates better in 2008 in the NFL (actually I can't start any worse
then the past 2 NFL starts...lol).
This is a very SPECIAL season for me being my 20th one. I had a great year so far
winning a CFB Bowl Contest last year for $100,000 first prize and then my beloved
Boston Celtics finally won another Title this summer as well. Of course we had another
gigantic winning College Basketball Season in 2007 (although we did stall out for 3-4
weeks after a fast +50 start heading into February). College FB and CBB are my favorite
two sports to handicap and bet and I fully expect both will be very profitable here in
2008.

section on the homepage. This area was in the sign up only Newsletter section the past
5 years, but on the new rebuilt web site it's all on the homepage now. If you decide

I usually have 6-7 CFB Picks for Saturday and 3 or maybe 4 NFL picks each week.
I don't automatically release picks on all Thursday, Friday or Monday Night TV games.
I look at this as a marathon and not a sprint. By season's end, I am always ahead
and if you are not a degenerate bettor and you can use a proper Money Management
betting system with my picks, you should easily make a solid profit on your
investment to me. I don't guarantee I will surely win, but I will give you
my very best Bets (PICKS) each week all season long. If you
